As a result of specific position of the Municipality of Laktaši and its openness towards the Panonian plain and the vicinity of the Dinara mountain range, a specific type of vegetation appears. On the plain areas there are agricultural products, various sorts of wheat and vegetables mainly, while fruits are grown on surrounding higher areas, first of all berries, for which this area is particularly known.

In areas covered with forests, mixed forests prevail, mainly oak trees and simple bourn beam as well as willows and poplar trees in the river valleys. An interesting recreation in these forests is collecting eatable mushrooms which can be found in spring and autumn time.

Forests of this region, particularly the area of Crni vrh and Kozara, are rich with high and different kinds of wild animals whereas flat areas are rich in various kinds of birds, a special attraction for those who are fond of hunting. Most widespread kind of hunting nowadays is hunting of wild pigs, deer and foxes, and quails and pheasants when it comes to birds.
